Targus Inc., maker of the world's best-selling notebook cases
and accessories, today announced its HP Signature Series of
notebook carrying case models specifically
designed for women. Targus and Fabrique collaborated to develop
this new line of cases that would be universally appealing
to women carrying HP notebooks.
Blurring the line between purse and notebook carrying case,
the Signature Series consists of two case designs with two
color options available for each design. Combining stylish
materials and a feature-rich construction, the HP Signature
Series computer case is an affordable alternative to the more
masculine cases that currently dominate the marketplace.
"Our research has shown that women use notebook cases
differently from their male counterparts, and consequently
have different style and functionality requirements,"
said Ron Smith, chief marketing officer for Targus. "As
a result, we have begun to work with our OEMs to design and
develop brand-specific cases for their female customers. With
HP as our first OEM to roll out a female-targeted case line,
we have worked closely with the company to incorporate our
industry-leading notebook protection and contemporary styling
with organizational features requested by female HP notebook
users."
The laptop carrying case interiors contain several smart
features to keep women organized, including business card
holders, file folder sections, key clips, cell phone pockets,
PDA sleeves and zipper pockets for essential storage of loose
items. Both carrying cases include detachable mini bags for
storage of smaller items such as money, ID cards or makeup.
The Signature Series cases meet carry-on guidelines of all
major airlines, and their top-loading design gives users quick
and easy access to the notebook compartment for security removal.
Each case in the line ships in a protective cover to shield
it from dust, scratches and other harmful elements while not
in use.
Targus' HP Signature Series is currently available through
authorized HP resellers, the HP Web site (www.hp.com) or at
Targus' Web site (www.targus.com). All four notebook cases
include a limited lifetime warranty. The following cases are
now available.
Take a walk on the wild side with the Signature Ladies Nylon
Tote case , available in either leopard print or solid black
nylon with black leather trim. The case accommodates notebooks
with screens up to 15-inches and is constructed with a dual
zipper flap for wide access to the notebook and case interior.
The cushioned notebook compartment houses a removable notebook
computer folio case, giving the case more versatility as a
purse or carryon bag during weekends or personal travel. With
an elasticized gusset and shoulder straps, the folio can be
carried separately from the main case. The case exterior also
includes a side pocket for cable storage and a business card
holder. A separate side pocket provides easy, quick access
to a cell phone and travel documents. The HP Signature Ladies
Nylon Tote has a suggested retail price of $69.99.
Available in striking red or classic black, this sophisticated
leather case accommodates all standard 14-inch HP notebooks.
With trendy, contrasting white stitching and a fashionable
interior lining, the Signature Ladies Leather Bag features
a zipper closure and an adjustable strap to secure the padded
notebook compartment, providing the ultimate in style and
protection. Metal feet protect the bottom of the case from
wear and tear and protect the interior contents from liquid
